The language that constructs and conveys the currents of a culture is the subject of portraying the reality of a post-colonial society. Constructed with the signboards of shops in Lahore, the work turns into a curtain that covers a recognizable canvas by French neoclassical painter David. This juxtaposition brings together various notions, narrations and definitions of art and language, and creates a connection between the two aspects of a cultural and creative expression.
