HEAVEN AND EARTH | 2009
C PRINT + DIASEC AND GILDED FRAME | 20 X 27 CM
From the painting of Caravaggio to the narrative of violence that emanates in the present age, a relationship has been established, yet the pixelated imagery helps in transcending the immediate or local link. Trespassing between identifiable imagery to abstract pictorial language, the work occupies and generates a multiple and complex interpretation. The body emerges not only as of the object of art appreciation but as a site for the act of violence.
