The popularity and power of Hindi cinema is an unmatchable and unimaginable phenomenon in Pakistan today. Hence the (apparently, but not true) duplicate views of a crowd cheering at the national parade in Pakistan are composed of thousands of scenes from Indian movies. The artist uses irony in addressing the validity of patriotism by alluding to the concept of singular, multiple and often contradictory identities.
