TWINS | 2007

 C PRINT + DIASEC | TWO PARTS: 90 X 67.5 INCHES EACH

Images of several birds flying across or against the skyscraper, is a natural sight, but if seen in another way, these can become a symbolic representation of self annihilation. Hence the title ‘Dead Bird Flying’- a contradiction in its essence, but a reference to two aero planes colliding into the Twin Towers and changing the course of history, as well as the political cartography of the globe. Using a simple and ordinary visual, the work deals with deeper issues, yet keeps a pictorial and poetic language to denote the content.
