OIL, ACRYLIC AND PRINTED FABRIC ON CANVAS | 72 X 157 INCHES

This work invokes multiple concerns of our existence today. Riddled with notions of identity, this culture is caught between two different ways of living since the colonial period. We move swiftly from Urdu to English, which not only represents two languages, but two separate world views. This condition is prevalent in the realm of art too, therefore the work comments upon the designs, desire and possibility of forging a national identity in the face of globalization.
