Two identical characters are composed as one and the other. Naked Rashid is holding a fully clothed Rashid in his arms. Both figures, which essentially are one, allude to the way a notion of the ‘Other’ is formed in our head. Normally when we perceive the Other we project our own ideas, prejudices and problems on him.  It also signifies the way our culture has transformed after the impact of globalization (indicated b the tiny Shell gas station). The landscape, based on a stereotypical image of popular ‘scenery’ which appears frequently on public vehicles – can also be connected with the tradition of English landscape painting. Details of landscape affirm the  manner in which our perception of ideal beauty and serenity is formulated in our visual culture
