Along with the traces of Rana’s earlier grid paintings, other recurring elements such as ‘mirror images and ‘seemingly’ abstract/non-objective art also present the duplicity of the image, captured in a movement, of intimate moments reflecting how our contemporary world is made of several contradictions. The artist in the process of changing his attire also indicates the adapted roles for an individual – the process of altering identities. The sequence of images is repeated in two sides/halves, but with a perceptible variation in the two views; alluding to how different versions of reality appear identical but are contradictory in truth.
